VACCINATIONS FOR YOUR PET’S SAFETY
The importance of vaccinations cannot be stressed enough when it comes to the health and safety of your pet. At Innisfail Boarding Kennels in Innisfail, we have strict policies about vaccinations to create a safe environment for all the pets. Annual vaccination is necessary to protect your pet as well as the other boarders from potential harm. We require every pet parent to bring in the official vet papers as proof of vaccinations.
If your pet is vaccinated for the first time before boarding, please allow at least 14 days between vaccination date and boarding date. Your pet's body needs this time to build immunity after the shots. Most veterinary clinics and veterinarians in Innisfail, Red Deer, and surrounding areas know of our requirements for vaccinations very well. They will be able to give you the precise information and your pet the exact right treatment.
UP-TO-DATE VACCINATIONS
Please keep a track of your pet’s vaccinations in order to get them vaccinated on time. When you make a reservation with us, our team will remind you as well. We can't let your pets enter our facility if vaccinations are not up to date.
Listed below are the vaccinations your pet should be given:
DOGS
Distemper: Annual/every two years/every three years (depends on the type of vaccination given by the vet)
Parvo: Annual/every two years/every three years (depends on the type of vaccination given by the vet)
Bordetella (kennel cough): Annual
Rabies: Annual/every two years/every three years (depends on the type of vaccination given by the vet)
NOTE
Please be informed that although your pets have had the right vaccinations, there is still a slight possibility that your pet could pick up a virus. As viruses change their structures often, vaccinations won't always work a 100%. The Bordetella virus is especially known for that.
